How does the traveller see it?
(Fragment of a post from a Facebook page)
Artist Adeyemy Demola has his own vision of happiness. He called this painting “Busy Brain”. It depicts a dream about the future. All the elements of prosperity are in the boy’s head. What is the logical – perhaps even logistical – connection between them? The artist drew the plane in the sky and the house on the ground. Natural. But I imagine the following sequence in the boy’s mind: fly out of Nigeria, receive a Western education, make money and then build himself a house.

But an upside-down interpretation is possible as well. Build a house, make money, get an education and goodbye Nigeria!

What do you think?
And what do you think?
